Myer face of Canberra Racing 2010 model search

The title of the 2010 Myer face of Canberra Racing will be up for grabs when contestants will take part in Canberra’s only local model search. With the launch today of the competition Sales & Marketing Manager Briony Young said that this year the competition is anticipated to be well contended. “In 2009 the competition was in its first year and we received 46 entrants. This year I expect a lot more after the success of the competition and the high standard of representation from Elkie Stuart”.

“Being the Myer Face of Canberra Racing has been a rewarding and challenging experience, my portfolio has been expanded and the contacts I made in the industry have been very valuable, it’s a great initiative to have such a sophisticated local model competition with plenty of benefits to the aspiring model” or racing enthusiast”. Stuart said.

As part of the competition the Canberra public will be able to vote for their “favourite face” from all the applicants who will win some great prizes, however the prize pool for the lucky lady who will win the title of Myer Face of Canberra Racing will walk away with over $10,000 in cash and prizes including jewellery and a modeling portfolio as well as being a magazine cover model. The competition is open to all Canberra and surrounding area ladies between 18-35 years of age.

“The new “face” will have to make special appearances and be a fashion ambassador for the Canberra Racing Club, she will be a role model for all fashion activities at Thoroughbred Park and has an important part to play” Briony said.
