Joseph & Jones Annual Race Day

The annual Joseph & Jones Racing Race Day returns this Friday with a full house in the Silks function room for the annual event.

The day is facilitated by Joseph & Jones Racing as a thank you to their owners, who travel from as far as Tasmania and Queensland to attend the luncheon.

The training partnership will start 7 horses on Friday with stable favourite Bank on Henry making a return after a spell, the gelding will be aimed at the Tony Campbell Memorial Cup on 7 October along with Chasing Charlie.

The stable has also welcomed an overseas import from Hong Kong, a gelding named Overdane who has won HK $3.7M ($572,000 AUS).

The gelding had a soft trial a fortnight ago and may start in the Tony Campbell Memorial Cup all things going to plan.

“He is an absolutely magnificent type and although a seven-year-old has been very well looked after, and while he has had great success on the synthetic in Hong Kong he is indicating he will perform on the grass” Jones said.
