Dale's weekend of racing

Matt Dale has 3 runners at Randwick on Saturday and expects his up and comer Clipper to perform well after her last start at Caulfield where she came an admirable third.   Dale made the decision to rest her for an additional week after her arrival back at the Canberra stables to recuperate and she will head to Sydney to compete against older mares in the Benchmark 85 over 1100m.  An ideal barrier and in-form jockey Tim Clark with 55 kilos may be the perfect combination.

Super Star Bob has had a short spell and returns to the track with a step up in grade to a Benchmark 78.  The trip may be a little short but his fitness is good and should go well.

Newcomer, On The Fiddle, with two wins from three starts will take on a relatively strong field in the Highway Handicap over 1400m.

Dale will also run Group 2 winning mare Single Gaze’s half brother by Commands, Whisky ‘n’ Diamonds next week with a decision being made to run him in Goulburn or Kembla Grange pending.   The 3yo colt by Commands out of Redaluca’s Gaze came second in a recent trial in Goulburn.  Dale’s Stable Foreman Deb Reiper said “He goes well and will have one start before heading to the paddock to grow, but shows a fair bit of promise”.
