Burradoo Heads Canberra’s Mid-Week Metropolitan Contingent
Canberra stables have three acceptors for tomorrow’s Canterbury meeting headed by the Mick Miladinovic-trained Burradoo who lines up in Race 5, the 1100m BM77.
Burradoo comes off a heavy-track win at Warwick Farm when he was well fancied and recorded a career peak rating.
He comes into the race with the highest 50 day figure and just has to repeat on the likely better surface on Wednesday.
There is interest in the return of the Matt Dale-trained Hermosa Beach who lines up in Race 7, the 1250m BM 72.
Hermosa Beach was also nominated for a BM84 at Sandown–Lakeside and has won and placed in two first-up runs.
She was last seen when disappointing as favourite in a BM 78 for fillies and mares at Warwick Farm in April.
Making up the trio is the Phillip Courtney-trained Maryore who competes in Race 6, the 1500m BM72.
Maryore is a former South Australian galloper who looked in need of it resuming for the new yard at Warwick Farm on 3 August on a heavy track.
The mare had placed her previous two in this grade at Morphettville on good surfaces and the rise in trip will suit tomorrow.
