The 12 month reign of The MYER Face of Canberra Racing will be the sought after title by any young aspiring model or perhaps the lady that loves fashion, horse racing and socialising with Canberra’s elite. She will possess class, sophistication, glamour and elegance.

The winner will receive cash and prizes totalling over $10,000 including a modelling portfolio by the Marque Agency, cash, vouchers and a beautiful crystal vase trophy and most importantly be the MYER Face of Canberra Racing, which will mean she will be seen in all the right places.

The highly esteemed judge panel, including international supermodel Belinda Rider and WIN TV personality Jessica Good, will be looking for the overall presentation and confidence of that special someone who will best represent as the MYER Face of Canberra Racing. The event itself will be compared by Canberra’s own fashion icon, Lizzie Wagner.

To enter fill in an application form at any MYER store in Tuggeranong, Belconnen or Canberra City (available October 2008) or print off the form by visiting www.thoroughbredpark.com.au. The competition is open to all female Canberra residents between the ages of 18-35.

A full length and close-up photograph is all that is needed for the application along with an answer to the all important question “How would you promote MYER and Thoroughbred Park during your campaign as the MYER Face of Canberra Racing?”

50 finalists will be chosen from the applicants will compete at the Thoroughbred Park Cocktail evening on Saturday 22 November 2008. Finalists will be given the opportunity of free facials, makeup lessons and advice from MYER stores. Tickets to the Thoroughbred Park Cocktail Party for supporters and general public will be available for purchase 2 weeks prior to the event.

Finalists will be required to parade in their own outfit, which is consistent with the criteria for the Classic Ladies Racewear category. One winner and one runner up will be chosen on the night, based on their overall presentation and application.

The winner of the MYER Face of Canberra Racing’s first appearance will be at the Kennards Hire Canberra Cup, 30 November 2008.

The winner will go on to not only indulge and enjoy prizes ranging from cosmetics to cash but will also be represented by the Lizzie Wagner Group. The winner will also be lucky enough to be the star of Thoroughbred Park’s posters, brochures and website. She will also be required to make appearances at various VIP cocktail parties and functions hosted by Thoroughbred Park.
